Bathing, sauna, and car park rules | Therme Euskirchen
1. Binding Character and Purpose
The house and bathing rules are binding on all guests of the Therme Euskirchen, consisting of the Palmenparadies, Vitaltherme & Sauna and Schwimmbad areas, including the associated car park and the outside areas. The Therme Euskirchen is a facility designed to offer a maximum of rest, relaxation, and fun for each guest. On top of this, these house and bathing rules are intended to guarantee safety, order, and cleanliness. Upon entering the Therme Euskirchen, the purchase of the access authorisation and handover of the transponder (data carrier recording the services used at Therme Euskirchen), the guests commits themselves to comply with these bathing and sauna rules and any other provisions issued for the purpose of maintaining operational safety.
2. Opening Hours, Admission, Entrance Fees
The opening times of the Therme Euskirchen are fixed by the management and published in the reception lobby. The bathing session times are determined by the tickets obtained. If the time is exceeded, a corresponding amount shall be paid later. The closing times relate to the time of leaving the building. The bathing session in Palmenparadies, Vitaltherme & Sauna and Sportbad ends 20 minutes before closing, i. e. guests must leave these areas at that time. Last admission is 1.5 hours before the end of the bathing session. Exceptions to this apply to the Schwimmbad in connection with the contractual provisions agreed upon with Euskirchen municipality with regard to school and club swimming.
The use of our parking places shall in principle only be allowed for guests of the Therme Euskirchen. Illegally parked vehicles will, if necessary, be removed at the owner's expense. On all parking places of the Thermen German Road Traffic Regulations shall be applicable. Motor homes may only be parked on the parking spaces provided for this purpose outside of the car park.
For safety reasons, individual areas in Therme Euskirchen are under video surveillance. The recordings may be viewed by the management and the police only in the case of suspicion. The purpose is to protect the property of the guests and of Therme Euskirchen.
The management may restrict the use and the range of activities of Therme Euskirchen at any time in whole or in part, e. g. in the event of operational disturbances, renovation, or revision. Claims against the operator based on this reason shall be excluded. If part of the facility cannot be used due to filming, events, classes or similar, there shall be no claim to reimbursement or reduction of entrance fees.
Persons who are helpless or need supervision due to a severe physical or mental disability may enter the Therme Euskirchen only if accompanied by an adult. The same applies to persons susceptible to attacks of cramps and fainting fits. Non-swimmers and children under the age of 10 years must be accompanied by a parent. Persons suffering from communicable diseases, open wounds, skin rashes or offensive diseases and persons who are drunk or under the influence of intoxicants shall not be admitted to Therme Euskirchen.
Animals of any kind shall not be admitted to Therme Euskirchen.
Admission tickets, vouchers, ThermenCards, and time credits bought shall not be reimbursed and cannot be offset, either. Vouchers lost or not used shall not be replaced or reimbursed. Complaints regarding faulty debiting and given the wrong change are only permitted directly after your checkout. Any right for correction becomes inapplicable as soon as the guest has left the building. A deposit fee in the amount of EUR 10 will be charged when a ThermenCard is bought. The fee shall be reimbursed upon return of the card. It is not possible, however, to reimburse the residual amount on the same day. If lost, ThermenCards shall re replaced against presentation of an official ID card and the receipt and payment of a processing fee in the amount of EUR 15 (deposit of EUR 10 for a new ThermenCard + EUR 5 for processing).
3. Bathing, Lingering
Buying an admission ticket shall not create a claim to a place to sit or lie.
It is not permitted to reserve seating or lying areas with towels, bags, or other items. In the event that items are placed there for this purpose, they may be removed by the personnel of Therme Euskirchen independently or when requested to do so by guests. In designated areas, guests are explicitly informed that reserved loungers will be cleared.
The guests are to behave in a manner as not to jeopardise safety and order as well as cleanliness within the Therme Euskirchen. Each guest must observe the increased risk of accidents due to wet floors. Therefore, special care must be taken in the entire bathing and sauna area, and anti-skid bathing shoes should be worn on principle outside of the pools.
In the event of wanton contaminations, a cleaning fee in the amount of EUR 30 shall be charged. In the event that a guest should find his/her cubicle, locker, etc. in a dirty condition, he/she shall inform the supervisory staff immediately.
Guests shall be obliged to wash themselves thoroughly before entering the Palmenparadies, Vitaltherme & Sauna, and Sportbad areas. Soap or other body cleansing agents must not be used outside of the showers. Appropriate swimwear must be worn when entering the Schwimmbad and Palmenparadies areas. It is prohibited to wear street clothes of any kind (jeans, T-shirt, etc.). It is also prohibited to wear underwear under the swimwear or as a swimwear substitute.
Changing cubicles shall be used on principle by only one person at a time. Ventilation shafts on the windowed facades must not be blocked by bags, towels, or other items.
In view of the need for rest of all guests, quiet should be observed in particular in the Palmenparadies, the Vitaltherme, in the Sauna and the steam baths. The exchange of caresses should be reduced to a minimum in the Therme Euskirchen; it should be refrained from completely in the bathing facilities (sauna cabins, steam bath, whirlpools, poolbars, etc.). Intimate acts shall be punished with a ban on entering the premises—without reimbursement of admission fees paid—and a complaint to the police.
The consumption of alcoholic beverages is limited to an acceptable extent. The Therme Euskirchen reserves the right, to limit the number of alcoholic drinks going over the counter in principle and per guest, as well as to prohibit drunken guests further consumption of alcohol and to expel them from the bathing facilities, in case of endangerment or disturbance of bathing activities – without reimbursement of services provided and entrance fees paid.
Each guest shall behave in a manner so as not to bother other guests.
4. Palmenparadies and Vitaltherme & Sauna
Admission to the Palmenparadies, the Vitaltherme and the Saunas is only permitted from the age of 16. Small children up to three years of age may enter the Palmenparadies, but are not permitted to enter the Vitaltherme & Sauna. The Vitaltherme & Sauna area is a nudist zone. This area, however, is not a naturism facility. Therefore, after finishing the sauna bath, including the required cooling phase, a bathrobe or a towel should be worn. This applies in particular to catering areas. Before using the sauna facility, guests are to wash and dry themselves thoroughly. For reasons of hygiene, a sufficiently large towel to lie or sit on should be used in the saunas in order to avoid any contamination of the benches. Infusion agents must not be brought in and used by the guests. The infusion may only be carried out by trained personnel of Thermen & Badewelt Euskirchen.
Within the scope of the guest programme, Therme Euskirchen distributes various body peelings and beauty masks to the guests. Taking his/her personal tolerance into consideration, it is up to each guest to decide whether he/she accepts the distributed products or the offer. No liability is accepted for any skin irritations possibly resulting from these supplementary offers, including infusions. This disclaimer shall also apply to any soiling of textiles caused thereby. Traditionally, there are special conditions in sauna and other sweat rooms, as for instance higher room temperatures, dimmed light, stepped benches, and various sources of heat. These require the guests to be particularly careful and circumspect.

A person who unlawfully gains access to the premises may face criminal charges. The bathing, sauna, and car park rules apply to the general bathing, sauna, and swimming operations. Exceptions may be granted at special events without the need to specially cancel the bathing, sauna, and car park regulations.
Complaints, wishes, or suggestions are accepted by any employee of Therme Euskirchen.
